The Neighborhood Watch Committee (NWC) is responsible for working with local law enforcement and residents of the community to develop and maintain a program of activities that have the ultimate goal of increasing the safety and comfort of all residents while minimizing unsafe activities in the community. This committee meets monthly.

Safety Tips

In light of the recent break-ins in Ashbrook, here are some safety tips to keep your family safe.

1. Keep all doors and windows locked.
2. Invest/Install in motion sensor lights around the entire house.
3. If you have an alarm system, remember to activate it.
4. Do not leave recently purchased items wrappings/boxes/etc. out in the open on trash day. Collapse them down, put in a trash bag, and then put the bag in the trash can.
5. Alert a neighbor when you will be out of town so they may monitor your home.
6. Do not leave newspapers, mail, etc. out on the driveway, stuck in the front door, or in the mail box.
7. Change which light you leave on at night and/or leave your front and back door lights on (especially on darker roads).
8. NEVER get involved in something suspicious, always call the Sheriff's Department at 703.777.1021 .
9. Don't Be Afraid to call the Sheriff's office at 703-777-1021 (non-emergency number).
10. Always be careful and mindful of your surroundings.
